Etchings from the Self-Replicating Nanotechnology series are a response to the idea of "gray goo"; Eric Drexler's doomsday theory that self-replicating nano-machines will multiply exponentially, taking over the world while devouring all carbon containing matter.

In place of "gray goo" I have created a world consumed by the proliferation of rainbow goo.
